Google said that its Chrome web browser has become faster, thanks to some performance improvements it has made over the past period .
"Since Chrome's inception, speed has been one of the four core principles , and it remains the fundamental principle that guides our work," the US tech giant said in a post on its blog.
And now, Google has revealed the latest technical improvements that helped Chrome reach a new stage in performance on the Speedometer across platforms, such as: Android and Mac.
According to Google, a series of tweaks in Chrome together contributed to a 10 percent increase in Apple's Speedometer 2.1 browser performance metric over three months. The company stated that the changes include a set of tweaks that improve cache function and memory management.
Despite user complaints over the years of Chrome's increasing sluggishness, the browser still commands the vast majority of the web browser market share.
